When we sent you our email earlier this week, Trump's deadline for Iran was hours away and nobody knew what was coming.
Well — at 7:42 PM Tuesday night, eighteen minutes before his own deadline, the President posted Iran's official ceasefire statement directly on Truth Social and let their own words speak for themselves.
The Strait of Hormuz is technically "open" — but as of this morning, vessel traffic is still negligible. Ships are anchored, not moving. Iran has announced alternative shipping routes, citing sea mines. Israel has struck Lebanon and says the ceasefire doesn't cover Hezbollah — while Iran and Pakistan say it does.
And Trump posted overnight that all U.S. military assets remain in position around Iran.
Meanwhile, peace talks begin Friday in Islamabad under Pakistani mediation. This ceasefire is real — but it's not peace. Not yet.
