CENTCOM’s Tuesday wave hit nearly 60 military targets around the Strait of Hormuz — air defense, radar, maritime assets, mine-laying, communications — while escorting 40 commercial vessels carrying 18 million barrels of oil. That escort was a wartime high.
President Trump, from the Oval Office Wednesday:
“They were trying to see the ships. They can’t see it because they have no radar, because we blew it up, and we blew up much more than their radar last night.”
This all began Tuesday at noon Eastern, after attempted IRGC attacks on Hormuz shipping and American service members — the first exchange in over a month, then this Tuesday wave.

August 24, Operation Economic Outcast designated Estanica Trading Ltd of London as owner of the Gambia-flagged tanker TELA, alleged Iranian crude, with French and Swiss firms named alongside. Bessent then went on Kudlow and named IRGC accounts in the British Virgin Islands — out loud, on air.
