The Midweek Update - Donald Trump Debates George Orwell - September 11, 2024
What was more blatant in the September 10 debate? Was it the number of lies Kamala told or was it her proud embrace of the neocon warmongers who have endorsed her? On this anniversary of 9/11, let's not forget that these are the very neocons who used 9/11 to put us on the path to totalitarianism.
This week's update recaps the warning which Lyndon LaRouche issued, seven months before 9/11, of just such a provocation – a modern Reichstag fire. Donald Trump's first presidency was and his second Presidency must become the instrument to reverse this drive to Orwellian dictatorship.

Susan Kokinda: [00:00:00] Hello, everybody. This is Susan Kokinda with your Midweek Update. Today is September 11th, 9 11. The day that our nation's march toward totalitarianism was put on a fast track, thanks in large part to one of the people who just endorsed Kamala Harris, Dick Cheney. It really does speak to the Orwellian nature of last night's debate, that Harris cloaked herself in the mantle of neocons and war hawks as a point of debater's pride, but perhaps that was one of the more truthful aspects of her performance.
There will be endless post mortems about the debate. Donald Trump was Donald Trump, and Kamala Harris was whatever the A. I. had constructed for the evening, with not a little help from the moderators, who functioned as her assistant coaches, fact checking Trump throughout the night.
Trump's closing statement brought things back to where [00:01:00] most of us live, namely, reality. He simply pointed out that Harris has been in power for three and a half years. Why should anyone take seriously her litany of vacuous promises or changed positions when she could have done it all along?
Tulsi Gabbard, in a post debate interview, and despite the continued blatant bias of the interviewer, also did a very good job in summing up the debate by grounding it in reality and making short shrift of Kamala's lies. But perhaps the best mental antidote to spending several hours in the 1984 world of a mainstream media sponsored debate is to look at the message which Robert Kennedy Jr. issued earlier in that day, urging his supporters to vote for Donald Trump.
In that message, Kennedy delivers a stark warning about where the real threat to democracy is coming from. [00:02:00] He points to Brazil as an example of a country where the state now controls the media with their banning of Elon Musk's X platform.
He points to Kamala Harris warning Musk that he will lose his privileges, i. e. the right to free speech if the powers that be don't like them. And RFK Jr. says, quote, it will be too late by 2028. Once we are in the grips of totalitarianism, we are not going to be able to vote our way out of it. And he makes clear that a disputed election would be a disaster for our divided country. And he says, President Trump needs to win in a landslide. We have to unify. We have to overthrow the entrenched elite.
So, as I said at the outset, today is the anniversary of 9 11. Biden and Harris are in New York, as are Donald Trump and J. D. Vance. The contrast could not be [00:03:00] clearer. Biden and Harris are part, of course, of what RFK calls the entrenched elites who sent us on an accelerated path to perpetual wars with 9 11.
Think of the casualties, the American dead and wounded in that war. Think of the horrible post war consequences of so many of our veterans. Think of the 13 soldiers who died at Abbey Gate in the Afghanistan withdrawal, whose names Harris and Biden have yet to utter. And think of the danger that today's war in the Mideast could spiral out of control into something larger and potentially nuclear.
Counterpose that to one of the cornerstones of the Trump Vance campaign. That is, ending those endless wars before they end up in World War III. How did Trump go about that in his first administration, especially vis a vis the [00:04:00] Mideast? Look at the first foreign visit that Trump did when he was president. It was in May of his first term. He took an eight day trip to the Mideast, which began in Saudi Arabia.
In that trip, Trump told the Saudis, in no uncertain terms, to stop their support for terrorism. He said, It is a choice America cannot make for you. A better future is only possible if your nations drive out the terrorists and extremists. Drive them out. That was the public side of Trump's message. One can imagine the private side.
Now, this is extremely important because it demonstrates that Trump was clear on where support for ISIS and Islamic extremism was centered, Saudi Arabia, and it worked. By drying up Saudi support, coupled with American [00:05:00] military and intelligence operations, Donald Trump went a long way to rolling up that particular threat.
Contrast that to the neocon narrative, the narrative of Harris endorser Dick Cheney and the rest of the Bush administration, which used 9 11 to drag us into a war with Iraq, a country which had nothing to do with 9 11. As our organization has documented extensively and early on, 9 11 was a Saudi operation protected by the Bush family and directed for British imperial geopolitical purposes.
If you go to our Promethean Action website, you will find our groundbreaking video on 9 11, which documents the British role in deploying their Saudi assets in this attack. If you are not yet subscribed to Promethean Action's newsletter, The quality of the intelligence which produced this video [00:06:00] should encourage you to do so.
And Trump was on his way to reversing this Cheney Bush British dynamic, which started by his shutting down Saudi sponsored terrorism and proceeded with the implementation of his Abraham Accords. Which, of course, were stopped when Biden became president. But our organization did more than investigate and expose the perpetrators of 9 11 in its aftermath.
Lyndon LaRouche forecast an attack, just such an attack, in a January 2001 webcast. That is, eight months before the event. He warned that the Cheney Bush administration would launch a Reichstag fire provocation. He said, quote, they will govern by what's known as crisis management, [00:07:00] just like the Reichstag Fire in Germany.
You're going to get crisis management, where members of the special warfare types of the secret government, the secret police teams, will set off provocations, which will be used to bring about dictatorial powers and emotion in the name of crisis management. You will have small wars set off in various parts of the world, which the Bush administration will respond to with crisis management methods of provocation.
Again, this was delivered in January 2001. Two years later, with the onset of the war set off by that 9 11 Reichstag fire, LaRouche honed in on Dick Cheney and the intention of his masters. He said, The essential characteristic of the movement represented by Cheney is that it is a movement for establishing an Orwellian sort of imperial, [00:08:00] U. S. based, worldwide fascist dictatorship. And that, as RFK Jr. eloquently warned, is what is at stake in the coming election.
So, a few days ago, the Empire gave us a little bit of a window into the inner workings of their worldwide leviathan. For the first time ever, the head of Britain's MI6, Richard Moore, and CIA Director William Burns appeared together publicly in an interview in what was really spooky in both senses of the word. A spooky discussion hosted by the Financial Times.
They also penned an op ed in the Financial Times which lauded the importance of the U. S. U. K. special relationship and asserted the Anglo American geopolitical narrative about the threats which come from Russia, China, and Iran. [00:09:00] Moore's attitude, especially in this interview, was as the ultimate geopolitical puppet master.
With Britain as the driving force In the continued escalations against Russia, as documented by the interview, The world continues to edge closer to nuclear war a point, which of course, Donald Trump continues to forcefully and appropriately make. The two Spy Chiefs also pointed to the essential merger between big tech and their government, intelligence agencies in the ultimate celebration of 1984's, Big Brother.
Now, I want to end this update by returning to the most essential point of all of this. What is it? That the global elites fear. What is it that they must stop, that they must risk thermonuclear war and come out openly against [00:10:00] cherished Western principles, like freedom of speech and open dialogue. They are mortally afraid of what Donald Trump laid out last week in his speech to the economic club in New York, as Barbara Boyd covered in her post entitled, Donald Trump's triumphant economics for everyone.
Donald Trump has thrown down the gauntlet to the British system of imperial economics. In that speech, he reasserted the American system of sovereign credit with his proposal for a sovereign wealth fund and for grounding our economy in domestic manufacturing and technological advance.
If you want to know why Kamala Harris keeps cycling back to the straw man of Project 2025 as she did in the debate, it is because the Uniparty is defenseless in the face of actual American system policies, which resonate strongly among the voters, which must be won over [00:11:00] to Trump's side before they cast their ballots.
Over the coming days and weeks, we will be magnifying the importance of those policies with a focus on what is in the Republican Party platform and with other organizing material of various kinds. which draws out the revolutionary implications of what a return to the American system actually needs. We want to give you what you need to win this fight.
