The week opened with two economies standing in the same headlines. Trump put a mine in Minnesota and a mill in Iowa on one American supply chain, while Mark Carney put Canada's airports on the block and called raw exports a national strategy.
Barbara spent Monday on the older war under that contrast, a 250-year British campaign against the American System, and closed Saturday on its current face: Europe hoarding diesel until Trump's export threat forced a G7 release of 100 million barrels.
Thursday's question hour said the quiet part out loud. Kitchen-table pain is real, and it is still the other side's push. Thirty-two days out, the job is to show people the build, not to litigate the pump.
America is choosing a productive system, and the price at the pump is not the vote.
