Thomas Starr King, virtually unknown to most Americans, was one of three contemporaries of Abraham Lincoln who led a successful fight to save California for the Union.
In a chilling revelation from President Trump's recent Time magazine interview, he lashes out at Biden for his "insane decision" to allow long-range US missiles to be sent into Russia, warning that it's a "major escalation" and "a very big mistake." Call your congressman now.

Promethean PAC Organizers at Butler, PA Trump Rally
On June 13th, Promethean PAC organizers drove from Detroit to attend the Trump rally in Butler, PA. We arrived at 8:30am, and set up a table with our literature and signs that read: Donald Can''t Do It Alone, Defend Trump-Stop Here, Stop the Coup Against Trump, Mussolini Joe Has Got to Go, and It Took 2000 Mules to Install One Jackass. The hundreds of attendees who passed by our table loved the signs and took many photos! We distributed 1,500 Promethean PAC flyers, "Bold, Trump Inspired GOP Platform Opens the Door to the Future," and signed up many people for our emails.
We talked to people about the revolutionary nature of the new Trump-inspired GOP Platform, and how it debunked the fake Neo-Con economics of the Heritage Foundation's Project 2025. We emphasized that this was the first time ever that the RNC, the Republican Party Convention, and the Republican presidential candidate were all totally unified around a coherent policy and program.
The New York Times featured our "Stop the Coup" sign in an article, including our Promethean PAC tagline.
After the assassination attempt on Trump, we went to a nearby restaurant, where people were listening to the news. They all turned out to be Trump supporters. People were serious, sophisticated, mature, and not panicked. They were interested in our perspective, and many took our literature, including A Police Dossier: It is the British Who Murder Our Presidents.
Houston Hurricane: Overcoming Unbearable Circumstances with Heavenly Music
It is often in shared moments of despair and anxiety about the unknown, that the best is seen in our fellow human beings. Thanks to the generous spirit of a professional harpist, Jackie Carpenter, I was able to participate in the power of beautiful harp music in a "cooling center" here in Houston, TX. These centers are open to the public during the day, so people have air conditioning, water, food, and electricity. However, they are so chaotic, noisy, and frantic, that the atmosphere adds to the stress. For those who have no other refuge, one has to then navigate back in their dark abodes to get through another hot, humid Houston night. Added to the discomfort is the putrid smell of rotting food thrown out in the garbage areas, often haphazardly. And the routine begins yet again another day.
Jackie had also been without electricity since Hurricane Beryl hit us on Monday, July 8th. We found each other at the same cooling center on Tuesday and used the opportunity to talk about world events that weigh heavily upon our hearts and also about the suffering of the thousands of people throughout our area. We thought how wonderful it would be if she could soothe their souls with beautiful music.
On Friday afternoon, she came with her harp and gave an impromptu concert to a very appreciative audience from all backgrounds and all ages. She had a varied repertoire to engage the entire audience. As I took the photos, I thought, "this looks like a United Nations in the small."
One older man said that this was an uplifting experience to a heavenly place. He was thrilled to get pictures of himself with Jackie and those gathered around. He couldn't express enough gratitude for this experience. All the young children were mesmerized and engaged. One baby was clapping her hands and giggling nonstop.
It is these acts of kindness and giving back to those in need that have made enduring the difficulties of these past days bearable and, even, uplifting.
