Susan opened with history. "In the American Revolution, George Washington lost a lot more battles than he won. He won the war."
Then she read the warning Machiavelli left for anyone who brings in a new order of things. The innovator's enemies are "all those who have done well under the old conditions." His friends are only "lukewarm defenders."
That is the fight in one sentence. Trump is taking America out of the dying British imperial system and back to the American System. The old order is hitting back. And too many on our own side still can't explain what he's doing.
"Are we up to actually fighting for this republic on the same terms that our founders did 250 years ago?" β Barbara Boyd

π― Your Next Step: The Bootcamp, Monday, November 9
Monday, November 9 Β· 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT Β· on Zoom
Today's show brought a lot of new people to the fight. If that's you, welcome. This is where you start.
The Republican Party packs its tents the day after an election. We don't.
"We never go away," Susan said today. "We are not gonna go away."
Monday's session is the last one under the Midterm Bootcamp name. It's an after-action review with activists from around the country. We'll talk through what happened and what we do next. Then the Bootcamps keep going under a new name, and we want your ideas for what to call it.
"This is where the work's gonna get done," Susan said.

Barbara put it plainly: "It is the economy, stupid."
Americans were sold out in 2008. Then COVID came. Now, she said, "the level of trust for anybody out there as a politician is minimal."
Trump knows the economy needs to be reindustrialized. That means protection for American industry and a war on the globalist system. Most Republicans in Congress don't understand that. Their candidates ran the same cookie-cutter campaigns the consultants have sold for 20 or 30 years.
What Congress Can't Undo
Susan read economist James Thorn: losing the House and the Senate "does not erase the foundations of Trump's first two years."
The tariffs stay. The investment boom stays. Susan said 75,000 new manufacturing jobs came this year, and more factories are coming. And the President posted a red hat with one word on it: veto.
On impeachment, she said the House may pass one, but the Senate needs 67 votes. And her hypothetical: "If they impeach Donald Trump, who becomes President? JD Vance."
Barbara said the real target is the military. In 2020, she said, the war-gamers lacked two things for a color revolution: the street gangs and the military. "They have that [the street gangs] now through the DSA." That's why Hegseth is in their sights.
The City of London's Pump
Why are gas and diesel prices so high? Barbara gave four reasons. We haven't built refineries in years. Prices are mostly set in the City of London. Big Oil is gouging. And the Green New Deal pushes blue-state prices higher still.
Her bottom line: "You can't fix this economy without waging a war on globalization."
Susan pointed past the headlines. Reports suggest a summit of Trump, Xi and Putin is coming together. Fixing the global financial system that broke in 1971 is where the real power lies.
Your Assignment
Susan's advice for the 30-second conversation is to ask first. "What do you think is wrong?" Find out what hurts, whether it's gas, groceries or rent. Then walk them back to how we got here.
Her warning to the other side: a lot of people "just voted for Pandora." When the box opens, we have to be there.
Barbara's final words:
πΊπΈ
"He's still the President under the Constitution. It is still the most powerful post in the government."
So take a couple of days off if you need them. Then come to tomorrow LIVE show, then Monday's Bootcamp and bring one friend who's asking what to do now.
