Trump got Xi's "secret garden" tour, Bessent cornered the City of London, and the Senate revolted in his favor. Across this week's shows, one frame keeps surfacing: the American System is back, and the empire is out of moves.
As globalization collapses, America faces a deeper crisis of culture, identity, and purpose. Mike explores Poeâs âDescent into the Maelstrom,â the rebuilding of American industry, the conflict with Iran, and the spiritual foundations needed to revive the nation.
No class this Memorial Day weekend. A short note on the origins of the holiday, a thank you to our supporters, and a look at next Saturday â Bruce Director returns.
Empire in Shock as Trump Pushes Tariffs and Progress
As we stand at the threshold of a new industrial golden age, fueled by President Trump's unbridled energy and determination, we're excited to share with you the most inspiring stories of innovation, progress, and transformation.

New Energy Secretary Outlines Plans for R&D and Massive Production
At long last, we have a Department of Energy focused on producing energy, not "saving" energy. Among the important directions emphasized by the new Secretary of Energy Chris Wright in his first Secretarial Order, there are the following:
"Prioritize true technological breakthroughsâsuch as nuclear fusion, high-performance computing, quantum computing, and AI."
"Pursue a commonsense approach that does not regulate products that consumers value out of the market.
"Lead the commercialization of affordable and abundant nuclear energy."
"Streamline permitting and identify undue burdens on American energy."
President Trumpâs Missile Defense System Aims to Be a Major Science Driver
President Trump's Missile Defense System Seeks Industry Input Amid "Golden Age" of American Science and Technology.
Within days of President Trump issuing his Executive Order to develop a U.S. missile defense system, the Defense Department's Missile Defense Agency swiftly followed suit with a Request for Information seeking innovative ideas from U.S. industry.
The Missile Defense Agency's RFI aims to secure capabilities that can be deployed in "epochs" starting as early as 2026, with subsequent deployments planned every two years until beyond December 31, 2030. The agency's call for information is broad in scope, seeking technologies capable of detecting and defeating the threat posed by ballistic, hypersonic, and cruise missiles, as well as other advanced aerial attacks.
Pedagogical Exercises for a Golden Age: What humans can do that AI canât
Bruce Director enriched the lives of many when, working with Lyndon LaRouche, he developed pedagogical exercises which made the discovery and creative powers of the mind transparent to those who engaged with them.
Now, in the new optimistic turn, heralded by Donald Trump's election, he will begin producing a new set of these spiritual exercises for Promethean Action.
Zap Energy in Everett, WA reports producing stable, high-temperature fusion plasmas without external magnetic confinement. It is among the companies with a chance to be first to actually produce commercial fusion electricityâalong with Helion and Commonwealth Fusion.
A study of over 400 tests in the latest Zap device demonstrates that their reactor design is producing a relatively uniform energetic plasma which appears to be scalable to a commercially viable machine. Zap's Z-pinch approach has a long history, but had previously suffered from instability and collapse.
It should also be noted that the Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST) reactor in Hefei, China, has recently achieved a plasma confinement record of 1066 seconds in its more conventional experimental design. The pace of progress in this area is accelerating. Fusion devices will be producing commercial quantities of electricity within the next several years.
After all the years of campaigning, Americans have finally come to the agreement that we will Make America Great Again. But, how do we actually implement the intention, and with a minimum of mistakes along the way?
Peek behind the scenes of this successful AMERICAN job shop, built from the ground up by entrepreneurial father and son duo. This shop started with welding, then expanded into machining and additive manufacturing.
Shops like this are becoming a critical component of the American manufacturing ecosystem, and their scalability is key to building a true manufacturing superpower. If you're driven to innovate, now's the moment to start your own shop and contribute to this resurgence. Remember to reinvest your profits in cutting-edge equipment and the skills of your workforce.
The DOGE Kid Who Unlocked the Pompei Scrolls
The hysteria aimed at President Trump, Elon Musk, and DOGE has also targeted the young people working with Musk to clear the fraud and waste from government spending. Here is the story of one of the DOGE workers, Luke Farritor, who won the Vesuvius Challenge Grand Prize for developing a technique to read the carbonized ash papyrus scrolls found at Pompeii (the Herculaneum Papyri). Don't mess with DOGE!
Fortune reports on the observations of the British founder of an online bank, Tom Bloomfield, who found that the "American dream is âAntithetical to British culture,â " and that "his fellow countrymen were more inclined toward a 'know your place, donât get too big for your boots' attitude that stifles innovation." While this rare admission is a start, the truth is far uglier. From the royals on down, the Empire has created or used monetarism, free trade, environmentalism, communism, fascism, war, assassinations, psychological warfare, and organized pessimism in various forms, to attempt to crush American industrial optimism and the progress of humanity generally. A broadly successful Trump presidency will go a long way to undermining the Empire and freeing folks in Britain, Europe, and elsewhere from their overlords.
The flood of information is making you a worse citizen. Bruce Director on Kepler's New Astronomy â how a 17th-century astronomer broke the empire's two-cage dogma of perfect circles and uniform motion, and what that fight has to do with 2026.
Brian Lantz takes you on the factory floor of the American economy: durable goods +8.2%, manufacturing construction +20.2%, machine tool orders +22.5%, the U.S. now the world's third-largest steel producer. It's being built, baby, built.
Nuclear power is the dividing line between mankind stuck on Earth and mankind colonizing the solar system. Trump's pushing through it. The British Empire says stay put.
Artemis II returned humans to the Moon for the first time since 1972. With nuclear power initiatives, a lunar landing targeted for 2028, and a revitalized space industrial base, America is entering a new golden age of space exploration and growth.
