New Michigan College Republican Leader Says Philosophy Is Key to the Future

The Michigan Federation of College Republicans elected its new leadership on April 19  at the University of Michigan (U of M)  in Ann Arbor. Promethean Action leaders Susan and Ron Kokinda were among those in attendance and reported on several singular aspects of the event.

Leaders of the Michigan Federation of College Republicans

Outgoing chairman Alex Richmond said that the College Republicans were founded at U of M in 1892 and that then-Governor William McKinley was in attendance.

Three of the new leaders elected to the state organization came from Wayne State University, an urban, largely-commuter campus, in the middle of Detroit, rather than from the larger state universities. Promethean Action has been teaming up to organize with Wayne State students and finding openness both on the campus and on street corners near the campus.

Newly elected President Tyler Campbell (from Wayne State) identified the deeper importance of organizing college students in his acceptance speech, pointing out that while the formal mission of the CR’s is to get Republicans elected, there was a more durable mission:

"Our mission environment is the universities, the most influential institutions in our time, where all beliefs derive from. The world does not change through door knocking alone, it changes through the stroke of a pen.
"Every great philosophy is sourced from the universities, and from there, every other political organization or institution is influenced. It is by understanding our area of operation, that we also understand that we are the forwardmost deployed element of the conservative movement to influence ideology, and from there, every major institution in America. By operating in this environment, we are developing the future leaders of the Republican party. Not only politicians, but lawyers, CEO’s, and journalists."

Upcoming Michigan Town Hall on Tariffs

Promethean Action will be participating in Town Halls on Trump's policies. First up: tariffs.

Promethean Action will be participating in a series of Town Hall meetings in Michigan. The first one will be on May 17 on the subject of tariffs. President Trump has made this issue a top priority to Make America Great Again with manufacturing and economic growth.

Scheduled speakers at the event are Promethean Action's Susan Kokinda, Coalitions Vice Chair of the MI GOP, and Brian Pannebecker, head of Auto Workers for Trump.

They will be discussing what is really going on, not just the news headlines: what are tariffs, what's their history, how will they affect the auto industry, and more. Stay tuned for further reports from the meeting and organizing!

Having Fun Bringing Truth and Optimism to California Dreaming

Promethean Action organizers are having fun in Silicon Valley and the Bay Area of California, challenging the lunacy and preconceived notions about Pesident Trump's policies. Our displays have signs that read, "Trump Can't Do It Alone --America Be Great Again," "End the Fed," and "Build Baby Build With a National Bank."

Trump Derangement Syndrome

Some people immediately go into their media-induced Trump Derangement Syndrome, spewing out the lines about Trump taking away Social Security, destroying people's retirement, etc.

On the other side, there are many Trump supporters who think they already did their job by voting for Trump. Others were glad to see us and engaged in more in depth discussions.

Promoting Ideas of Lyndon LaRouche

People responded to the fact that Promethean Action is different from all the other political groups that are bombarding them with money requests. We got across the idea that we have been around for decades, and that physical economist Lyndon LaRouche was promoting many of the ideas and policies that Trump is now implementing. These include tariffs, taking on the Federal Reserve, and ending the failed perpetual war policies.

Exposing the British Role

We also made clear our unique role in exposing the role of the British in the attacks against Trump and America. That's what distinguishes us from everyone else.

Humor and Optimism

Yes, California is full of characters, and we talk to everyone – even the crazy ones! With a sense of humor, a dash of Promethean optimism, and a commitment to the truth, we're lighting a fire to promote Trump's fight against the globalists – and having fun doing it!

Mindy Pechenuk: Time to End Ranked Choice Voting in Oakland!

Mindy Pechenuk, candidate for Mayor of Oakland, issued a statement calling for an end to Ranked Choice Voting in the city, calling it "a disaster for our democracy." President Trump has also weighed in against it, saying, "RANKED-CHOICE VOTING IS ONE OF THE GREATEST THREATS TO DEMOCRACY. It is a total, and very fraudulent, JOKE!"

Pechenuk outlines her reasons for opposing Ranked Choice Voting in a statement on her website. They include:

  • It is inherently a violation of "one man, one vote"
  • The elections lack transparency
  • It has not made election costs cheaper
  • It has not led to higher turnouts as promised

You can read the entire statement on her website. And, stay tuned for future campaign announcements!

States are right to reject ranked-choice voting
It turns out that Americans prefer elections where it is easy to vote, simple to count the votes, and easy to understand and verify the results.
